The Alchemist is the book!! ✨✨💜

I've read the Alchemist! I love that book. I'm not sure it landed the same as it would now, but I think it's true in that the gold we seek is in the journey, not the gold itself.

I wonder what Orel would say to parents of kids in their 20's who are

still "in it" and aren't finding motivation in anything else yet... I've been accepting and present for years, trusting their path and... yeah

I know that feeling of not finding motivation, or maybe you do find but it fizzles rather quickly.

To be honest, all it takes is a good friend who wants to improve their life or a guide who knows exactly what they've been through to help them find a replacement for the addiction.

It's so much harder to quit an addiction if you don't have good habits to replace it with. Otherwise, the empty time is too boring to handle and the habit will come back.

@Josh Woll what do you think?

Dana Kay's avatar

Yes! Thank you! One of them just started rock climbing and is making friends in that community which is super fun to witness✨✨

:D that's awesome! happy to read this

💯% - redirect the energy. I'm sure it's for all of us, but if we reach for our phones and see someone else is "making it" we put the phone down and can believe we are not capable. Therefore, we aren't motivated to move. But it's exactly that. We have to move. If we think and think and think, then that's what we are doing. We are stuck. Rock climbing is AWESOME Dana, that's so cool to hear. I agree with Orel, it's movement for yourself, but also community, friendship, that support. You need someone to witness you, to support you. So important.

SaaS tool for Substack note writers? But that’s awful. It’s not just about making money; you’ve got to be doing something useful for people as well. And this...

Josh Woll's avatar

Hmmm…have you looked beyond the title Alexander? Gone to his companies website? Used the software? It’s beyond useful and the service he provides his customers is as well.

I did, of course, read the article in full (thank you, it was interesting). I also visited the company’s website, though I haven’t looked into it in detail yet. It’s possible I was too quick in my judgement.

What I meant was that building a service that allows people to “mass-produce” dozens of Substack posts is a bad idea. That’s how I understood its functionality from your article. But I may have been mistaken. If so, then of course I apologise.

Thank you SO much for further explaining. It’s so hard based off the context of a statement how things are perceived. I believe Orel had that as an original idea but that wasn’t the direction he went. He can better shine light on this than I can. I do know from personal experience using what he has created has been a really useful and enjoyable experience. The software layout of how you can respond to comments is very intuitive and fast. You can use quick keys on the keyboard to like, comment, and then move on to the next comment. That’s just one feature of many. Again, thank you Alexander for the back and forth and working through the misunderstanding.

Thank you for the explanation!

Absolutely Alexander, wishing you a beautiful rest of your week!

@Josh Woll you nailed it brother!

And @Alexander Pelerin in the beginning it was a tool to help you create articles, but I shifted rather quickly to give creators tools to manage their Substack in a way that both helps them grow faster and save a lot of hours.

I don't quite understand what you mean here man
